From 8 to 15 November 2026, Together With Refugees is collaborating with Inter Faith Week for Stronger Together – a week of action celebrating the friendship, hope and connections formed across faiths and communities when we welcome refugees.
This Inter Faith Week, we want to tell the real story of friendship across faiths and communities that we say in our work every day – not the negative headlines of division and hostility.

What is Stronger Together for Inter Faith Week?
Stronger Together is a week of action coordinated by Together With Refugees, in partnership with Inter Faith Week. Together we will celebrate the unity built across faiths, the communities strengthened, and hope restored in welcoming refugees – not only for refugees, but for everyone involved.
When is it?
The Week of Action will take place during Inter Faith Week from 8 to 15 November 2026, and you can get involved at any time throughout the week.
What is Inter Faith Week?
Inter Faith Week is an annual campaign celebrating the contribution of faith and belief communities and the importance of interfaith understanding and cooperation. Each November, people from different religions and non-religious backgrounds come together through events, conversations and community action to build relationships and tackle shared challenges and celebrate shared values.
How can you get involved?
There are lots of ways to take part in Stronger Together for Inter Faith Week. You could:
- Create a’‘Wall of Friendship’ – with messages on orange hearts for the friends made and connections grown through your work.
- Lead a ‘Friendship Walk’ – from a simple stroll around your local area with colleagues and the people you support to holding a community event with other groups and local dignitaries. Just make sure you walk with friendship and big bright orange hearts.
- Host a friendship festival or meal – from tea and treats to a community party, you can celebrate friendships across faiths and communities to show others the unity in your area. Remember to display big, colourful orange hearts.
- Celebrate every day friendship and connection with great stories about what you already do. Use Stronger Together for Inter Faith Week as an opportunity to amplify an existing activity that brings people together.
To support you, we’ve created a toolkit with practical ideas, resources and guidance.
How to spread the word?
Whatever you do, don’t forget to shout about it! Holding an activity is only half the story – we need to show that the headlines of hate and division don’t reflect the reality we see across the country every day. Our toolkit includes templates and tips to help you share your activity on social and local media – and bring hope and positivity for others in your community.
